Hi, I’m Marcel – a backend-focused software engineer with a passion for clean architecture, automation, and systems that run like clockwork. I care deeply about code that lasts, infrastructure that scales, and tools that make developers faster and happier.

What I Do

Most of my work revolves around designing and maintaining internal business platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central. I specialize in modernizing legacy systems, building efficient CI/CD pipelines, and automating away repetitive, error-prone tasks.

At my current company, I lead the internal development team — not just writing code, but shaping how we build and operate our entire ERP infrastructure. From day-to-day development to system architecture, from deployment automation to internal tooling — I make sure things run smoothly and stay maintainable.

Outside of Work

When I’m not wrangling with ERP internals, I enjoy diving deep into low-level tech, systems programming, and reverse engineering. I’m especially drawn to understanding how things work under the hood — whether it's a binary file format, a custom protocol, or a game server architecture.

I also maintain several open source projects, mainly in the areas of game emulation, development tooling, and data processing. You’ll find a lot of C++, Rust, and Go in my repositories — and the occasional C# UI, when necessary.

What I'm Building Now

Right now, I’m building a modular selfhosted platform: a Docker-based system with gRPC communication and a centralized frontend hub. It’s designed to be lightweight, extensible, and developer-friendly — a personal toolbox that stays organized even as it grows.
